Kundalini er en yogaform, der anvender b\u00e5de fysiske og mentale \u00f8velser samt afsp\u00e6nding. I praksis kombineres bev\u00e6gelse, \u00e5ndedr\u00e6t og det mentale fokus for at bringe krop, sind og sj\u00e6l i samklang og balance.
\u00d8velserne styrker blandt andet kirtel- og nervesystemet og udvider lungekapaciteten. Der findes mange, mange s\u00e6t \u00f8velser, der er sammensat af forskellige fysiske stillinger (ogs\u00e5 kaldet for kriya\u00e9r), som hver is\u00e6r har et specifikt form\u00e5l, der enten kan v\u00e6re fysisk eller mentalt \u2013 f.eks. at optimere ford\u00f8jelsen, styrke ryg og l\u00e6nd, for\u00f8ge ens handlekraft eller opbygge mere indre ro.
Det fysiske s\u00e6t \u00f8velser efterf\u00f8lges ofte af en meditation, som kan v\u00e6re stille eller aktiv med brug af kropstillinger, h\u00e5ndbev\u00e6gelser og meget ofte lyd\u2014b\u00e5de i form af musik, sange og mantraer, som enten reciteres h\u00f8jt eller mentalt. Der findes meget smuk musik, der anvendes i kundaliniyogatimen. Herunder ogs\u00e5 anvendelse af gong.
Kundalini Yoga kaldes ogs\u00e5 for bevidsthedens yoga, fordi vi bev\u00e6ger os ind i sindets og f\u00f8lelsernes mange lag.
